Self-Catering Orkney Terms And Conditions

1. Check-in time is from 3.00pm. (Earlier may be possible)
2. Check-out time is 10.00am - the hirer must undertake to vacate the property by the time stated, unless otherwise agreed, to allow time to prepare for new arrivals.
3. We would appreciate if you could leave the accommodation clean and tidy as you found it at the end of your stay, otherwise a cleaning charge may be incurred.
4. The hirer shall be responsible for any damages or breakages to the property, furnishings etc. All damages must be reported and paid for prior to departure.
5. We require a non-refundable deposit of £200 per week to reserve your booking with us. The full balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
6. Payment can be made by cheque, PayPal or bank transfer - sorry but we do not accept credit cards.
7. All coordinated bed linen, large bath towels, hand towels, dish towels and cloths are included in the hire.
8. With soaring unpredictable electricity prices there may be a credit allowance
9. On receiving the deposit, you enter into a legal agreement and are bound to abide by the conditions of hire.
10. To ensure a full refund (minus the non-refundable deposit) you must cancel your reservation at least five weeks prior to the arrival date. We strongly recommend holiday/cancellation insurance.
11. Your vehicle and personal belongings are left at your own risk.
12. Although we endeavor to honor all bookings, we reserve the right to cancel should the property sustain damage or otherwise become unsuitable to accommodate your holiday. In such an event, we will refund any money paid in full. Any additional costs you may incur will be a matter of your holiday insurance arrangements.
13. All prices are inclusive of V.A.T, we reserve the right to amend the prices accordantly.
14. The payee shall pay any fees that occur through payments from the bank or currency transfer.
15. Sorry, but we don't accept pets and have a no-smoking policy in all our properties.
16. Newly installed Electric Car chargers, advice at the time of booking if you wish to have the use of the onsite EV chargers.
    

COVID-19 Procedures

Self Catering Orkney would like to welcome you to Orkney and your stay in one of our houses; Westslate, Sandstone, Granite, Earl Thorfinn cottage and Buttquoy Park, we would like to share our Covid19 procedures to advise that we are following Scottish Government guidelines, Association of Scottish Self Caterers and Visit Scotland advice and assure that the safety and wellbeing of our guests are incredibly important to us!

• On arrival at the house, you will have been advised of the key code number and that all keys have been sanitised.
• We are carrying out a deep clean after every let using specialist cleaning products EN14476,
• We have bagged up extra pillows and throws in sealed bags in the bedroom, but if you require to use them, just leave them out so we know they have been used, otherwise, if you could leave the bags sealed.
• It would be much appreciated if you could strip the beds carefully folding bedding inwards gently (not shaking it about) and leave in the bathroom ready for us to launder.
• We advise careful regular handwashing when arriving back in the property from a day out, there are specialist cleaning products under the sink left for your use on surfaces.
• Put all the rubbish in the specific bins provided at the end of your let outside the house, please.
• Should you develop COVID-19 symptoms during your stay; you must immediately contact NHS inform or call 0800 028 2816 for advice.
